Winning in Learning Tip #20: Winning is a Text Message I Received

In education, a winning mindset is rooted in understanding the brain’s role in learning, well-being, and performance. Neuroscience shows that engaging the mind can authentically drive deeper connections, motivation, and success. The key to happiness is in the drive, not the achievement. Our goal is to provide weekly tips and strategies for building a winning mindset and a generative drive to help you build a connected culture and a more engaged workforce. I Love Learning Podcast, S2 EP20: Joe Fernandez, Safety & Training Manager

How does Joe define winning? He says,

“Winning is a text message that I just received last night. In that small operation outside of Houston, there was a gentleman who was working. He was one of the operators there. He text me last night, and on the text it said this word for word – Good evening Papi. I just wanted to let you know that I want to thank you for everything you’ve taught me and everything you’ve shared with me. And so I texted him back, and I said, what are you talking about? He said, I just got promoted finally to become a training manager.”
