The Power of Small: How Little Things Make a Big Difference
Think about the last time something small made a big difference: a word of encouragement, a small idea, a two-minute lesson that stuck. This season on I Love Learning, we’re diving into The Power of Small. Host Dr. Gina Anderson will unpack stories of how learning doesn’t have to be big to be powerful because sometimes, it’s the smallest spark that ignites the biggest change.

I Love Learning Podcast, S3 EP10: Taylor Vandersteenhoven
Taylor Vandersteenhoven has spent her entire career in the trucking industry. She shares that you have to start each day with gratitude. What works for her is making a quick journal entry each morning and each night focusing on 3 things she is grateful for and 3 good things that happen each day. Starting and ending the day focusing on gratitude rewired how she felt about herself and then everything else fell into place for her. When you focus on the light, you naturally feel lighter.
Beyond focusing on gratitude, Taylor’s biggest tip for preventing burnout is to learn how to say no. Focusing on yourself and your needs will get you a lot further in a much healthier mindset than agreeing to everything asked of you. She also shares that being more observant of how she talks to herself and removing some of the excess noise in her life has kept her from letting negative thoughts ruminate. It’s all about our mindset.
Tip: Focus on Gratitude; Let go of Negativity
