Stay Ahead in October: Safety and Learning Campaigns to Leverage
National Pedestrian Safety Month
October is National Pedestrian Safety Month, and it’s a great opportunity to reinforce awareness across your fleet. With Halloween approaching, remind drivers to be extra cautious in neighborhoods and near crosswalks as trick-or-treaters will be out after dark. Consider holding short safety talks in terminal yards, at delivery sites, or on city routes, and pair telematics clips with quick refreshers on scanning, speed control, and yielding.
Key safety activations:
- National Teen Driver Safety Week (Oct. 19–25, 2025): Share family-focused messaging with employees who have new drivers at home. Reinforcing good habits at home strengthens your fleet’s overall safety culture.
- National School Bus Safety Week (Oct. 20–24, 2025): Include school-zone reminders in morning huddles and emphasize extra caution on suburban routes.
- National Move Over Day (Saturday, Oct 18, 2025): Reinforce slowing down and moving over when passing stopped vehicles and roadside workers.
