Winning in Learning Tip #37: Live Inspired

In education, a winning mindset is rooted in understanding the brain’s role in learning, well-being, and performance. Neuroscience shows that engaging the mind can authentically drive deeper connections, motivation, and success. The key to happiness is in the drive, not the achievement. Our goal is to provide weekly tips and strategies for building a winning mindset and a generative drive to help you build a connected culture and a more engaged workforce. I Love Learning Podcast, S2 EP37: Nick Klingensmith, Keynote Speaker, Author, Mental Endurance & Sales Performance Coach

How does Nick use failure to grow?

“If failure isn’t part of the equation, there’s no point in doing it in the first place. Pursue failure. Chase failure. Failure should be the goal most of the time. You know why I like Ultras? Because they’re hard. I sign up for really hard things because I want to push myself to failure. Failure needs to be experienced. If I become immune to failure then it just becomes another word for practice. We have to look at the difference between failure and quitting. Failure is ‘you ran out of time’ and quitting is ‘I’m not going to make it.’ Failure is a result and quitting is a choice that we make to not go on.”
