Winners will be celebrated during a virtual awards ceremony on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Registration for the ceremony is now on sale.

More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 100 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year.

Luma Brighter Learning, a back-to-back Stevie® Awards winner, won two awards this year in this competitive competition. The reason that Luma is continuing to be recognized is because of the measurable results they are producing in the trucking industry. As one judge wrote, “Being able to provide a platform to cover the different learning styles of individuals is a major achievement in itself but having a 98.5% retention rate is a gold standard in the L&D community. A business that not only can do a true needs analysis for their consumers that also incorporates safety metrics is one that deserves recognition.”

This past year, Luma created two innovations in the trucking industry with the creation of LumaLive®, a built-in synchronous communication tool, and Lumafy® lessons coupled with a built-in content creation tool. As one judge put it, “What a fantastic model, aptly timed for the changing dynamics in the supply chain and an increasing demand for drivers in this challenging economy. A perfect example of where off and online initiatives converge to drive business forward. So the build out interactive game-based content is sure to engage more users, driving the success both of your product and the businesses you serve. Kudos!”

Dr. Gina Anderson, CEO of Luma, stated, “We are in awe of the trucking industry. Our clients and their drivers work so hard to keep the economy running. They tell us what they need and we respond. We will continue to innovate in response to our clients’ needs. Thank you to the Stevie Awards for this amazing recognition. It is such a honor to be recognized with all of these accomplished women-owned companies.”

Details about the Stevie Awards for Women in Business and the list of Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners in all categories are available at www.StevieAwards.com/Women.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 160 business professionals around the world, working on eight juries.

Maggie Gallagher Miller, president of the Stevie Awards, said, “We thought the remarkable stories of achievement we saw in last year’s awards couldn’t be topped, but we were wrong. Women-owned and -run organizations have contributed significantly to the increase in innovation and entrepreneurial activity we’ve seen globally since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The nominations submitted to the 18th Stevie Awards for Women in Business that attest to this are inspiring, humbling, and motivating. We congratulate all of our Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie winners. We look forward to celebrating them during our January 13 virtual ceremony, and to hearing from some of them during our Women|Future Conference.”
